Monica Abbott Announces Elite National Softball Retreat

Kansas City, MO—Monica Abbott, two-time USA Olympic Medalist, 16-year professional, and four-time NCAA

All-American, today announced that she will host an elite-level Speed Retreat in the Kansas City metro for the

nation’s premier softball pitchers. This invitation-only event is designed to empower pitchers to reach their full

potential and become leaders both on and off the field.

“I understand the transformative power of mentorship and guidance,” said Abbott, who still owns the record for

fastest pitch recorded. “Now, it's my turn to impart the knowledge and skills I've acquired to the next generation of

pitchers. I’m looking athletes who exhibit a strong work ethic, a hunger for improvement, and a willingness to compete at the highest level. These are the athletes who have the potential to leave a lasting impact on the sport.

Abbott is partnering with Kansas City’s Top Gun Events, a company that specializes in organizing and hosting

top-tier softball events and tournaments nationwide to develop a best-in-class event for the next generation of

best-in-class softball pitchers.

“This collaboration signifies the fusion of two best-in-class entities, crafting an unparalleled development clinic for

elite-level athletes. We want to create a whole new standard of excellence for female athletes to expect,” said Jeremy

McDowell, Top Gun co-founder.

Who: Nation’s Top 15-18 year old softball pitchers to be selected by the MA14 team.

When: August 2-4, 2024
