I’m proud to say that this year's canned food drive broke last years record (947 pounds) and we were able to donate 1,264 pounds! There was everything from baked beans to Rice-a-Roni. All food was donated on Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014 to the Monterey County Food Bank. The Monterey County Food Bank serves 25% of the population and has a rate of serving 1 in 6 people. We are proud to give back to the community through the sport of softball.
Not only do I believe in Bringing It on the softball field but also in life. It is so important that as a softball family we continue to build great athletes but also great people. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart, to everyone that donated. Happy ThanksGiving!!
The Lady Venom stung all competition this year in the Canned Foods competition bringing in a total 344 cans! They won an inning with Monica as their coach. Monica coached first base where the team exploded for 4 runs and called pitches for their pitcher while the team was on defense! Congratulations to the 12u Lady Venom for winning the canned food competition and representing beautifully as female athletes on and off the field! I’m proud of you!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
