Hey Coach, Thanks for that Quote!

Monica-Abbott---Karen-WeeklyAs I was writing a number of the blogs—I kept thinking about some of the things coaches have told me over the years, which have motivated me. Mostly, they are phrases or quotes so I thought I would take a moment to talk about one of them today! (ps- Thanks Coach Berg, Coach Gardner, Coach Stewerwald, Coach Weekly, Coach McDaniel, Coach D’Arcy and a ton of my other influences) for motivating through a daily quote or mantra.

At this moment, I can’t remember who said it… but the motivational quote below has popped into my mind recently:

“If you want something you have never had you must be willing to do things you have never done”.

It’s pretty simple right? For most of us, we love routine. Including ME!! I love routine, I believe in it, but at the same time we have to be willing to be uncomfortable too get even better. We have to be willing to do things that make us uncomfortable so that we have the opportunity to accomplish things that we have never done. So as we approach the 2014 year, and you sit down to write your goals I ask you this…

What goal is most important to you and what are you willing to do that you have never done before to reach it?

Whether it’s a championship, a big win, trying to reach 80mph, or hit your first HR, how will you think outside the box? How will you reach that goal, and what is the process for you to get there… and are you willing to do it? What will you do, too do something you have never done?
